Biography
Britten Woolley is a Canadian mixed-media artist based in Toronto, Ontario who attended the Ontario College of Art and Design University, for her BFA, majoring in Cross Disciplinary: Life Studies. Her practice focuses on working with varied mediums that give the ability to create diverse pieces. The compositions tend to consist of a lot of personal symbolism, however she strives to give the viewers the opportunity to draw their own connection and reflections from the work. Recently, her work has been centered into linocut printmaking which combines the therapeutic carving process and satisfying mark-making.Â
She has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions including the Face2Face Postcard Exhibition at OCAD U in Toronto, Ontario in 2019 and Art Speaks at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton, Ontario in 2019.
Woolley was the 2019 recipient of the Dufferin Arts Council Scholarship for Excellence in Art.
She is currently working on relief prints and new projects that she is excited to share in the close future.
